QPR vs Liverpool (Post Match + Highlight )

Agonizing, frustrating, disappointing..There was no words that can be used to describe my feelings after watching the game last night. I have once again sacrificed sleep just to watch Liverpool play and miraculously we threw away a 2-nil lead to lose 3-2 within the last 13 minutes of the game.

We actually started the game at a blistering pace, we should be 2-nil up within the first 10 minutes of the game if Suarez and Downing had shown more composure and finishing in front of the goal. We dominated the game, off the ball movement was excellent, link up play between Gerrard, Downing and Suarez was magnificent as well.

The half ended 0-0 and i thought to myself, could this be another game where we dominate possession, corner kicks, shot on goal but yet we did not manage to get all 3 points. After all, we had experienced it well enough this season.

Second half starts in similar fashion and soon we got our reward through Coates. Coates scores a wonderful side bicycle kick goal (watch the highlight, with your mouth close!) on 54th minute and Kuyt added Liverpool's second of the game on the 72nd minute. I thought to myself, job well down and finally we managed to kill the game off.

Everything was looking rosy till a lack of concentration and poor defending from a set-piece that allows QPR to get one back. This was the second set-piece goal we conceded in two consecutive games (The first was Crouchy goal against us at the FA Cup Quarter Finals, final score 2-1 to Liverpool). Shortly after, Cisse came back to hunt us as he grabbed the equalizer, again the goal was scored via a cross. Mackie compounded our misery when he capitalized on Jose Enrique rare error to score the winner in injury time.

This left me speechless! When was the last time Liverpool lost a game while in a commanding 2-nil lead? We are one of the best defensive team in the Premier League if not the best and to concede 3 late goals against a team like QPR is totally unacceptable! (no offence to QPR). The team definitely needs to be more clinical in front of goal and be more professional in seeing the game off in future. We will be shooting ourselves in the legs if we are to commit such amateurish mistake again.

With 9 games left and 12 points apart from the fourth spot. I am sad to say, the chances of us finishing fourth is a mere dream now. Hopefully we can put up a good fight at Wembley and get to the FA Cup Final.
