QPR vs Liverpool (Post Match + Highlight )

Agonizing, frustrating, disappointing..There was no words that can be used to describe my feelings after watching the game last night. I have once again sacrificed sleep just to watch Liverpool play and miraculously we threw away a 2-nil lead to lose 3-2 within the last 13 minutes of the game.

We actually started the game at a blistering pace, we should be 2-nil up within the first 10 minutes of the game if Suarez and Downing had shown more composure and finishing in front of the goal. We dominated the game, off the ball movement was excellent, link up play between Gerrard, Downing and Suarez was magnificent as well.

The half ended 0-0 and i thought to myself, could this be another game where we dominate possession, corner kicks, shot on goal but yet we did not manage to get all 3 points. After all, we had experienced it well enough this season.

Second half starts in similar fashion and soon we got our reward through Coates. Coates scores a wonderful side bicycle kick goal (watch the highlight, with your mouth close!) on 54th minute and Kuyt added Liverpool's second of the game on the 72nd minute. I thought to myself, job well down and finally we managed to kill the game off.

Everything was looking rosy till a lack of concentration and poor defending from a set-piece that allows QPR to get one back. This was the second set-piece goal we conceded in two consecutive games (The first was Crouchy goal against us at the FA Cup Quarter Finals, final score 2-1 to Liverpool). Shortly after, Cisse came back to hunt us as he grabbed the equalizer, again the goal was scored via a cross. Mackie compounded our misery when he capitalized on Jose Enrique rare error to score the winner in injury time.

This left me speechless! When was the last time Liverpool lost a game while in a commanding 2-nil lead? We are one of the best defensive team in the Premier League if not the best and to concede 3 late goals against a team like QPR is totally unacceptable! (no offence to QPR). The team definitely needs to be more clinical in front of goal and be more professional in seeing the game off in future. We will be shooting ourselves in the legs if we are to commit such amateurish mistake again.

With 9 games left and 12 points apart from the fourth spot. I am sad to say, the chances of us finishing fourth is a mere dream now. Hopefully we can put up a good fight at Wembley and get to the FA Cup Final.

Tweets with Luis Garcia

Luis Garcia, a player who had a key part to play in our successful 2004-2005 Champions League campaign. Scoring decisive winning goals against Juventus in the quarter-finals and Chelsea in the semi-finals which was dubbed as a "ghost goal" by then Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

Garcia returned to La Liga in 2007 to Atletico Madrid. After felling out of favor, Garcia had since moved to a few different clubs, Racing de Santander, Panathinaikos, and now with Mexican team Puebla FC.

On 20th March 2012, Luis Garcia spent an hour interacting with Liverpool fans over at Twitter. Below is part of the interaction between Luis Garcia and Liverpool fans from all over the world. Enjoy!

Liverpool vs Stoke (Post Match Thought + Highlight)

It was a frustrating first half for me. Sloppy in possession, giving the ball away too cheaply especially Martin Kelly (Unlike him, he had been quite consistent) and Steward Downing. Also to give away a goal that was never meant to be (Defending here is poor, what was Reina and Carroll doing?!)

However in a moment of brilliance, Luis Suarez scored a wonderful-curler goal. Receiving the ball from Gerrard, Suarez turn and find himself acres of space in which he drive forward and did a one-two with Maxi Rodriguez before curling past a helpless Sorenson.

Three minutes later, Stoke equalized through Crouch. Crouch was left free inside the box to head in the leveller. That was some controversial to this goal as it was clearly never a corner kick as shown in the replay. Defending here was poor, Carroll who was supposed to be marking Crouch was nowhere to be seen. On the other hand, I got absolutely no idea what was Pepe thinking? Why was he standing behind Shotton? Did he really think he will get to the ball this way?

Liverpool 1 - 1 Stoke reads the half time scoreboard.

We eventually regained our lead on the 57th minute through Downing. Downing received the ball on the right hand side which he then did a give-and-go with Gerrard (I think Gerrard was trying to bring the ball forward himself more than trying to pass it back to Downing) before continuing his run and eventually striking the ball past Sorenson.

It was a good goal from Downing but I think he can do much better. He had been inconsistent throughout the season and its time for him to step up and prove that he deserve to wear the Liverpool jersey. Without a doubt, he did scored the winner but other than that he didn't do much throughout the game.

Spearo and Suarez had an amazing game. Spearo is small but gutsy, a great competitor who's always trying to win the ball back. Doing all the dirty job infront of the back four. All hail Suarez! Once again he proved why he is one of the best striker in the world. Full of trickery, speed and technical ability. Suarez is always on the move wanting to receive the ball, good off the ball movement. A true defender's nightmare.

LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB

LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB

- Founded on 3 June 1982
- 18 League Titles
- 5 European Cups
- 3 UEFA Cups
- 3 Super Cups
- 7 FA Cups
- 8 League Cup

As a young Liverpool football fan, I never get to witnessed the domination of the team in those days. The most glorious time as a Liverpool fan was when we achieved the greatest comeback of all time at Istanbul.

It was on 25 May 2005, memories still vivid 7 years after the great Istanbul comeback. AC Milan started the game brightly and with no response during the first half, we found ourselves 3 nil down. We were down but not out. The fans rallied the team on by singing the famous Liverpool club anthem; "You'll Never Walk Alone", the club's pride was at stake.

Rafa made certain tactical changes and with a bit of luck, we managed to score 3 goals within 6 minutes in the second half. It was a magical moment, never ever had I experienced anything similar to it. We held on and eventually won our 5th European Cups after Shevchenko misses  his penalty which he needed to score to keep AC Milan in the game.

We did it in a miraculous manner, that's what make us so special - The greatest football club in the world. We spared humiliation and went on to lift the European Cup in what was known as the greatest game of all time. So now let's recapped our Journey to the European Cup 2004-2005. Enjoy yourself.

Greatest Comeback of All Time
